THE ENJOY LIFE ACADEMY

The accommodations are standard double dorm rooms. Babson has nice dorms, and all are air-conditioned. The facilities at Babson are incredibly nice!

Don’t worry—Enjoy Life Academy is for everyone, not just the outgoing, extroverted kids you might see in the videos. The program is super inclusive and designed to help all teens, no matter their personality. Introverted teens often do really well because they can connect and grow at their own pace. There’s a mix of group activities and personal reflection, so you don’t have to be “on” all the time. It’s all about helping you build confidence, find your voice, and make meaningful connections in a way that works for you.

Yes! Our staff undergo a rigorous application and training process, and each is hand-selected to provide the best experience for the students. Additionally, all our staff members are home-grown, meaning everyone has gone through the program and been there for at least four summers! Our staff is dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience.

Ages range from 14-18 for students! Students come in as first-years of all ages in that range. The staff are aged 19 and up!

Quiet Hours begin at 10:30 pm every night. Before Quiet Hours, two ELTs will conduct a floor meeting and review general expectations for the night and the following morning. Students are expected to be quiet and in their rooms from 10:30 to 6:00 am. ELTs monitor the floors to ensure a smooth night for everyone. In the morning, an ELT will knock on your door at 7:30 and ensure you and your roommate are awake! You are responsible for getting yourself to breakfast at 8:00 am when your day begins!

Two students will be rooming together per dorm! While we recommend embracing the full dorming experience, you can get a single room. If this feels like the option that would be the most comfortable for you, please reach out to tara@enjoylifeeducation.org

Yes, roommates can be chosen! We understand that some people come to the Academy to deepen their connections with those who came with them. However, we would love for you to have the whole experience, which includes random roommates. If there is a medical reason that you would like to have a room with a specific person, we would be happy to accommodate that. At Enjoy Life, we offer a unique experience to unplug from your phone. By the end of the week, most students will voluntarily put their phones in the Phone Box and take the time to be fully present. You won’t even have time to look at your phone because the whole day is jam-packed!

No. The Academy’s fundamental principles will remain the same, but your experience will be different every year. Not only do you absorb new information, but your friends will change, meaning you have a new experience every time. All of my academies have felt distinct from one another in so many ways, which is largely why many of us continue to return year after year.

I would say that the most common reason is that kids think it will look good on their college resume. That’s why I initially signed up for my first year in 2019. And while you do gain a leadership certification at the end of the Academy, you gain so much more than that. You gain a community and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Expect the unexpected! We do intellectual activities, physical activities, and many exercises that stretch our brains and make us more resilient. You will have to see for yourself, but it’s the most fun week of the year.

Our team is well-equipped to handle any medical concerns! We have a registered nurse on site, 24/7, for any medical-related situations, emergency or otherwise. If your student has an existing medical situation, we offer medicine holding and reminders. We would be happy to work with you or your students on figuring out the plan that would work best for them!

We estimate that around 66 students will be there each week. Our staff has 18 members, making our ratio around 3:1. We estimate that 122 elite teens will attend the Academy this year.
